I have been studying God’s Word and making amazing discoveries. One of the scriptures that stood out to me recently is Mark 11:23-24:
“Listen to the truth I speak to you: Whoever says to this mountain with great faith and does not doubt…”
The word “whoever” here is important. Sometimes, we assume that faith-filled declarations are reserved for pastors, prophets, or bishops. But Jesus wasn’t speaking to just leaders—He was speaking to all of God’s children. That means you and I have the same authority to speak to mountains in our lives.
In Numbers 13, Moses sent twelve leaders to explore the land of Canaan. Ten of them returned with fear-filled words: “We can’t take the land.” They saw the giants and let doubt take hold. But two men—Joshua and Caleb—saw the same giants and declared, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it! The Lord is on our side, and they won’t stand a chance against us.”
What made the difference? Their words.
The ten doubters never entered the Promised Land because they spoke words of fear and unbelief. Their doubt became a barrier to their breakthrough.
Now, think about your own life. How many times have fear and doubt held you captive? Even after witnessing God’s faithfulness, do you still struggle to trust Him? We believe what doctors say about our health, what the media says about our worth, or what negative voices say about our future. But do we believe what God says?
There was a time when I suffered from a terrible backache. At first, I ignored it, hoping it would go away. But it didn’t—it got worse. I endured the discomfort, believing that somehow, if I just waited it out, relief would come.
But here’s the truth: I didn’t actually believe I had the power to command it to leave. I thought that kind of faith was reserved for pastors or people with a “special anointing.”
Then, I remembered the woman with the issue of blood in Matthew 9:21. She had every reason to stay discouraged—maybe she was told she’d never be healed, maybe she had cried herself to sleep after years of disappointment. But she pressed on. She didn’t let fear stop her. She spoke faith:
“If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”
And she didn’t just say it—she acted on it.
We must learn to speak life over every situation.
That’s what I finally did too. Instead of passively enduring my pain, I stood on God’s Word, laid my hands on my back, and spoke life over my body. I declared healing in the name of Jesus. And guess what? The pain left.
So let me ask you:
What words have you been speaking over your life?
Have you been repeating what others say about you, or what God says?
Have you been speaking faith, or are you trapped in fear? Maybe you’ve been told:
“You’ll never succeed.”
“No one will ever love you.”
“Your situation is hopeless.”
Faith is Not About What You See
Faith is not about what you see—it’s about what you believe and declare. Even when circumstances seem unchanged, keep speaking words of faith.
Declare healing when you feel sick. Speak provision when you’re in lack. Proclaim peace when chaos surrounds you.
No matter what you’ve been through or what negative words have been spoken over your life, you have the power to speak faith. Keep declaring God’s promises until they manifest.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to speak faith, not fear. Give me boldness to declare Your promises over my life and the wisdom to surround myself with people who strengthen my faith. I trust You. Amen.
