On this International Women’s Day, I reflect on the incredible strength, resilience, and purpose that God has placed in each of us as women. For years, I knew I loved to work with my hands, yet I wandered, unsure of the exact thing I was meant to be doing. The signs were right in front of me, but I couldn’t see them. I kept praying, asking God to open my eyes, yet I wasn’t truly listening for His direction.
The Holy Spirit was nudging me toward my purpose—toward the green pastures meant for me—but I was too busy seeking elsewhere.
This reminds me of the woman in 2 Kings 4, who told Elisha she had nothing in her house except a jar of oil. She dismissed that small jar as insignificant, yet it was the very thing that led to her financial breakthrough. How many of us are guilty of the same mindset?
We say, “I have no gift, no talent. I was born empty.” But here’s the truth: You were never born empty. Genesis 1:29 (MSG) declares, “I’ve given you every sort of seed-bearing plant on Earth and every kind of fruit-bearing tree, given them to you for food.” If God placed seeds in the earth, how much more in you—His precious daughter, created in His own image?
Today, I celebrate every woman discovering her jar of oil. It took me 16 years of searching, but I finally found mine. And now? I’m walking in purpose, using the work of my hands, and loving every moment of it.
Sisters, it’s time to recognize the oil in your house. The world is waiting for your manifestation. Rise up. Step out. Walk boldly. Happy International Women’s Day!
