Learning To Let Go And Trusting God

Lately, I’ve been meditating on Philippians 4:6-7, and I can’t help but reflect on how powerful these verses are:

“Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.”

There are four key takeaways from this scripture that I want to share with you today.

1. Don’t Worry About Anything

I’ve made a decision to stop worrying about things I can’t control or change—and I encourage you to do the same. Worry doesn’t fix anything. It only steals your peace and leaves you drained. The truth is, most of what we stress about is out of our hands, but it’s always in God’s hands.

If letting go feels hard at first, that’s okay. Just remind yourself that worry only adds burdens, not solutions. Instead of overthinking, try releasing it to God. Trust me, it’s worth it!

2. Pray About Everything

Yes—everything! Not just the big problems, but the small ones too. God cares about it all.

One thing I’ve learned is that prayer isn’t just about talking—it’s also about listening. God has a plan, and if we slow down enough to listen, He will guide us. Whenever I face a challenge, I talk to God about it. I tell Him how I feel, even when I’m frustrated. And guess what? He understands. He doesn’t turn me away. And somehow, He always shows up in the most beautiful ways.

3. Offer Your Prayers With Thanksgiving

Gratitude is a game-changer. Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” Thanksgiving is like the password to divine favor—it opens doors you didn’t even knock on.

Do you have a thankful heart? Do you take time to thank God for the little things—the ability to wake up, breathe, move, think, and laugh? Gratitude is intentional. You think to thank. You make it a lifestyle. When you start noticing the small blessings, your heart shifts, and you begin to live in constant awareness of God’s goodness.

4. God Will Bless You With Peace

God’s peace is different from anything the world can offer. It’s not just a calm feeling—it’s a deep, unshakable assurance that no matter what happens, God’s got you.

This peace changes you. It changes your thoughts, your emotions, and even how you carry yourself. It gives you confidence in the storm. While others are anxious, you are still—not because life is perfect, but because you know Who is in control.

Final Thoughts

I encourage you today: Let go. Pray. Be thankful. And let His peace take over.

Take a deep breath and say this out loud: “God’s got me, and I choose to rest in Him.”

Let me know in the comments—what’s one thing you’re choosing to let go of today?
